A British Council report launch is held at The IC Café on Tuesday 20th June: Recruitment channels and pathways to undergraduate study in the UK.

The undergraduate international student recruitment ecosystem is crowded and complex, with many potential and overlapping pathways for overseas students to enter UK higher education. The diversity of channels can create confusion for students, looking to source trustworthy information, and uncertainty for institutions, seeking to invest limited resources.

To address this knowledge gap, the British Council has commissioned the first comprehensive review of ‘Recruitment channels and pathways to undergraduate study in the UK’, with an emphasis on mapping out and quantifying the evolving ecosystem.  The research was completed by The IC Global Partnership and the report’s findings will be launched at The IC Cafe on Tuesday 20th June at 11:00 – 12:00 (BST).

  • John Mcnamara, Global Head of Research, Education Insight Hubs at The British Council; Jacqui Jenkins, Global Programme Lead-International Student Mobility at The British Council;
  • Sirin Myles, Co-Founder and Director, The IC Global Partnership

John, Jacqui & Sirin will share findings of the report

  • Chris Kirk, Director of UCAS International
  • James Pitman, Managing Director UK and Europe, Study Group

Chris & James will discuss the implications of the report

They will share trends in recruitment channels, pathways and applications for international students studying in the UK, the role of agent aggregators and private pathway providers, and make recommendations to help the UK to strengthen its position as the second most popular study destination for international students in the world.
