Internationalisation at Home

Badge of Commitment

|Pilot Scheme|

The IC Global IaH Badge of Commitment provides recognition that your institution has demonstrated a baseline commitment to IaH through an institutional pledge and evidenced IaH activities.

The Badge also demonstrates a willingness to continue to enhance and share good practice supporting IaH.

What is Internationalisation at Home (IaH)?

The IC Global refers to IaH as the strategies and initiatives institutions use to integrate international and intercultural dimensions into the formal, informal and hidden curricula for students without the need for international travel; as well as the impact these have on the communities served by the institution.

The IC Global recognises that IaH initiatives not only enhance students’ global competence but also generate meaningful positive impact on local communities, fostering intercultural understanding, collaboration, and social benefit within the areas the institution serves.

What is The IC Global IaH Badge of Commitment Pilot Scheme?

Open to UK Higher Education Institutions (offering Level 3+ provision) with a single campus or campus network within a single country of operation, the Pilot Scheme enables participants to lead the way in terms of being recognised for a clear demonstration of their commitment towards IaH. The IC Global Internationalisation at Home Badge of Commitment Pilot will enable participating institutions to demonstrate leadership in IaH and gain valuable peer feedback from IaH experts.

Institutions participating in the pilot will benefit from joining an exclusive network of IaH-engaged institutions in the exchange of knowledge and elevation of IaH practice by showcasing case studies presented as part of the assessment process.

Your institution will also gain the opportunity to shape the future of this recognition scheme as it develops. Participating institutions will be provided with guidance and support throughout the pilot process.

Successful applicant institutions will receive feedback and formal recognition with the award of The IC Global IaH Badge of Commitment (and Certificate).
